Job description

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Developer/Admin who can be the primary driver of CPQ related developments.

As a Salesforce Developer specializing in DocuSign CLM (Contract Lifecycle Management), your role is crucial in designing, developing, and maintaining custom solutions that leverage the integration between Salesforce CRM and DocuSign CLM to enhance contract management processes

This is an end user facing role, so the candidate must be both confident and highly capable communicating for numerous stakeholders on calls and video, building relationships and trust. Understanding business process and desired outcomes is critical in ensuring the technical solution is correct.

Key duties and responsibilities

  • Solution Design: Work closely with business stakeholders, sales operations teams, and CPQ administrators to gather requirements and design solutions that address complex pricing, product configuration, and quoting challenges. Translate business requirements into technical designs, considering factors such as data models, automation rules, and integration points.

  • Custom Development: Develop custom functionalities, components, and integrations within the Salesforce CPQ environment to extend its capabilities and accommodate unique business processes. This may involve coding in Apex (Salesforce's programming language), Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and JavaScript to implement custom logic, user interfaces, and integration with external systems.

  • CPQ Configuration: Configure and customize the Salesforce CPQ application to support dynamic pricing, product bundling, discounting strategies, and quoting workflows. Utilize CPQ features such as product rules, pricing rules, discount schedules, and quote templates to automate and optimize the quoting process.

  • Integration Development: Design and implement integrations between Salesforce CPQ and other systems within the organization's tech stack, such as CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software, ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems, billing platforms, and e-commerce systems. Use integration technologies such as REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and middleware platforms to facilitate seamless data exchange and synchronization between systems.

  • Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop and execute test plans, unit tests, and integration tests to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of custom Salesforce CPQ solutions and integrations. Collaborate with QA teams to identify and address any defects or issues in the software.

  • Deployment and Release Management: Manage the deployment process for Salesforce CPQ customizations and integrations, following best practices for version control, change management, and release planning. Coordinate with system administrators and release managers to schedule and execute deployments in various environments, such as sandbox and production.

  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Document technical designs, implementation details, and configuration settings for Salesforce CPQ customizations and integrations. Provide training and knowledge transfer sessions to enable end-users, CPQ administrators, and other team members to understand and utilize the developed functionalities effectively.Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on the latest developments, best practices, and trends in Salesforce CPQ development and related technologies. Participate in training programs, certifications, and community forums to enhance your skills and expand your knowledge in CPQ and revenue operations domains.Support & Troubleshooting: Support the Salesforce Admins and/or End users directly in troubleshooting CPQ related issues.

Key requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional Salesforce Administration experience

  • Minimum 5+ years of professional Salesforce CPQ experience

  • Strong Technical and functional proficiency in CPQ administrator, Price rules, CPQ price waterfall, product catalogue configuration

  • Experience in Multi dimensional quoting highly preferred

  • Salesforce Administrator certification

  • Strong technical and functional proficiency in Salesforce administration tasks including profiles, permission sets, sharing rules, roles, workflows, processes, flows, validation rules, approval processes, email alerts, advanced formulas, custom objects, reports, dashboards, page layouts, record types, Lightning pages and installed packages

  • Strong experience with designing and maintaining data structure and schema

  • Experience using DevOps software such as Gearset or Capado is ideal but not essential

  • Strong experience with data manipulation and maintenance with Excel, Data Loader and other tools

  • Experience with Apex, Visualforce & SOQL is a plus

  • Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Lightning

  • Experience analysing and documenting requirements, processes and/or policies

  • Having an operational mindset with a desire to do operations

  • Experience training individuals, groups, and first-time Salesforce users

  • A focus on strategic improvements and the business impact of contributions beyond tactical needs and activities

  • Self-motivated, flexible, team player with solid multi-tasking, time management & organization expertise with the ability to manage multiple and changing priorities

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with different levels within the organization as well as collaborate with cross-functional business partners and technical teams
